Housing initiative not yet implemented

Government has approved construction of housing units for lease/sale to government to accommodate public officers in various locations countrywide, says the Minister of Lands and Housing, Mr Lebonaamang Mokalake.
Responding to a question in Parliament, Mr Mokalake said the initiative had not yet been implemented because his ministry was still working on the funding modalities and no applicants from anywhere including Boteti Sub-district had been assisted. Member of Parliament for Boteti North, Mr Slumber Tsogwane had wanted the minister to state whether he has commissioned the new public service accommodation scheme and also state the number of applicants per village in Boteti Sub-district that have been assisted.
