19 Nov 2018

A young entrepreneur, Ms Nandi Usher has kick-started a project called Lead a Young Motswana which aims at inspiring and empowering pupils to explore their dreams.

Speaking during a workshop she organised for Form Two pupils of Sedumedi Junior Secondary School in Molepolole recently, Ms Usher said the project intendec to lead pupils into the right path to help them to be responsible citizens.

She said she realised that the community was not doing much to help pupils, but relied on teachers, hence the establishment of the project.

In addition, Ms Usher said she realised that Nandi’s Beauty Creations should be a brand with purpose by equipping pupils with skills which would help them realise their dreams.

She further said the project engaged different leaders from the industry to motivate pupils  and help them to explore their career path.

Above all, she mentioned that with the project they aimed to lead pupils to where they wanted to be in life, citing that while still in school it was difficult for a learner to realise his/her dream.

Meanwhile, Travel Long Botswana presenter, Ms Reagile Kopi advised pupils that confidence and public speaking were key for one to progress well in life.

She urged them to set goals, encouraging them that their future was determined by what they were doing now.

She also urged them to be ready to take any risk in life, citing that they should not be afraid to dream.

Ms Kopi emphasised that it was important for them to diversify their knowledge, to be innovative and explore their talents while schooling so that their journey could be easy.

For her part, founder of Game Changers Charity Organisation Ms Fidelia Masomosomo encouraged pupils to believe in their dreams and own them.

In addition, she advised them that no one was better than the other life, citing that each and every one was born to be a leader.

Ms Masomosomo urged them that it was important to take their studies seriously so that they could progress well in life and be better people. ENDS
