18 Oct 2018

Kanye Debonairs Pizza on October 17 shared bread, fruits and drinks with both the elderly and disabled from Mmamokhasi ward in Kanye.

Speaking in an interview, assistant manager, Ms Gosaitse Senna said the donation was part of her company’s social corporate responsibility.

Ms Senna explained that since the inception of the initiative in 2016, Kanye Debonairs has donated stationary and shared food with residents in areas such as Lotlhakane East, Mokhomma, Ntsweng ward and Mafhikana ward, adding that they have even adopted Kgosing Day Care Centre and Mokhomma Primary School.

He said the primary school aimed to build a house for a needy person.

For his part, African Pentecostal Baptist Church Bishop Thatayaone Mokokwe commended the company for its noble gesture, and said love was the only key that attracted Debonairs to extend a helping hand to the less privileged.

“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, or have faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing,” he quoted from the Bible.

Bishop Mokokwe described love as being patient and kind and challenged Batswana from all walks of live to walk and live love. He commended Kgosi Obusitswe Solomon of Mmamokhasi for supporting Debonairs in interacting with tribesmen.

In his welcome remarks, Kgosi Solomon encouraged the elders and disabled to report cases of abuse to his office. ENDS
