Mangole Batshu in Belgium

Mochudi West MP, Mr Gilbert Mangole and his Nkange colleague, Mr Edwin Batshu are in Belgium for the 51st ACP parliamentary assembly as well as inter-sessional meetings of the ACP-EU joint parliamentary assembly.
A press release from the National Assembly says the meetings will take place from October 9-11.
The assembly is expected to discuss and consider several issues, which include combating the destabilising effects of wildlife trafficking in ACP countries and promoting implementation of the external dimension of the EU action plan against wildlife trafficking.
The meeting will also discuss the issue of SME development, seen as being at the heart of economic transformation in ACP countries.
Furthermore, it will discuss issues surrounding the fight against cybercrime and drug trafficking.
Participants at the assembly will also share ideas on the political situation in ACP and EU member states and also on economic partnership agreements particularly on the state of play of negotiations and implementation.
Further, they will share ideas on promoting women and girls’ health by taking stock of members’ commitment and progress on the matter.
The two MPs left on Saturday and are expected back home on October 13. Ends
