 Permanent secretary in the Ministry of Transport and Communications, Mr Kabelo Ebineng has commended St Patrick Church congregation in Mahalapye for initiating a fund-raising activity aimed at building a house for the priest.

Mr Ebineng took part in the five-kilometre sponsored walk organised by the church recently.

He encouraged the church to engage in various fund-raising activities in order to raise funds needed to complete the project. Mr Ebineng also encouraged members of the church to make individual contributions towards the project.

In his bid to support the project, Mr Ebineng pledged P10 000, adding that the sponsored walk would not only raise awareness about the project, but would also contribute to good health and wellness of those that participated.

“Exercising contributes to physical and mental health,” he said. Relating the objectives of the sponsored walk, Mr Andrew Mapii said the funds raised from the activity would be used to complete the priest’s house. 

Mr Mapii said the house would not only accommodate the priest, but would also be used as the guest’wing.ENDS
