Assemblies of God donates house
24 Sep 2018
Men’s fellowship of the Assemblies of God church has donated a two bedroomed house to a needy family of six in Molepolole.
Speaking at the house handover, Men’s Fellowship Southern District president, Mr Tommy Mosinyi, said the men fellowship gathered in Molepolole in 2016 for their annual conference.
He said members of the Men Fellowship decided that wherever they gathered for their annual conference, they would leave a footprint by giving back to the communities where they gather.
Hence the Gontse family being chosen as recipients of a two bedroomed house with a sitting room, kitchen and bathroom.
Kgosi Lawrence Mhaladi applauded the church saying the presence of the church these days was felt in many community service activities something he said was appreciated by leadership.
The resident pastor, Mr Anthony Oitsile, said through the project, the love of God was not only preached but it was demonstrated as the bible called on all to not only be the preachers of the word but that they should be doers of the word as well.
And Pastor Oitsile highlighted that through this project, the men in the church had answered the plea of the boy child who often was side-lined as compared to the girl child.
He called on fathers to be role models to the boy child.
He again stressed that if men continued to involve themselves in activities that were deemed decent, they could be trusted and the negative stigma associated with men could be removed permanently.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Ms Ontlametse Gontse, said she was happy and thanked God for the gift.
She narrated that her story was a sad one as her family struggled to make ends meet and that she remained steadfast trusting that the Lord will answer her prayers one day.
Also in attendance was Molepolole North MP Mohammed Khan and Assemblies of God Bishop Rafael Habibo as well as senior pastors from other branches. ENDS
