Mochudi Rovers unveil P300 000 sponsorship

Debswana First Division South outfit, Mochudi Rovers unveiled sponsorship recently at Ntefo Conference Centre in Mochudi.

The ambitious Mochudi based team officially revealed Ntefo Conference Centre, a 100 per cent citizen owned business from Mochudi, which offers conference facility, restaurant, swimming pool and guest houses as their sponsor.

Speaking at the unveiling of the partnership the director of Ntefo Conference Centre Tumisang Dow said the sponsorship duration was for three seasons worth P300 000.

He disclosed that the sponsorship would cover the injection of P50 000 cash every season starting this season.

Dow also pointed out that Rovers would have access to the conference facility for free for their meetings as well as the use of one of their buildings as a club house.

Furthermore, he said they would try to curb other challenges the team faced such as transport costs by providing them with a transport to games and other engagements.

Other opportunities on the pipeline are the development of Mochudi Rovers ground for commercial purpose in order to help the team to sustain itself.

In addition further engagements would be on procument, branding and sale of merchandise for profit sharing between the club and the sponsor.

Another important matter he revealed was that they have established a sponsorship management board which comprises of two representatives from both Mochudi Rovers and Ntefo being the sponsor.
Ntefo Conference centre would further have branding rights to all Mochudi Rovers team apparels and other marketing items.

Dow highlighted that they found it fit to sponsor Mochudi Rovers after studying their sponsorship proposal which showed that they were visionary but faced challenges.

“As one of the oldest teams in Mochudi they want to be professional and we want to grow our brand so definitely this partnership will transform both of us,” Dow said.

For his part, the chairperson of Mochudi Rovers, Isaac Mosiane highlighted that the sponsorship came at the right time as their dream was to ascend to the premier league.

He said the funds would also help the team to run its affairs especially administrative issues without challenges.

He thanked Ntefo Conference for supporting football in Kgatleng region and ensuring its growth through different engagements.

First division south secretary, Tico Kamati said football needed financial assistance as shown by Ntefo Conference for its growth. He urged both parties to respect the partnership as it would benefit the football fraternity.

The vice chairperson of Kgatleng Regional Football Alec Monyake called on Mochudi Rovers to respect the constitution of the club to attract more sponsors.

He said currently there were lots of conflicts on local teams about club ownership and that it contributed to the collapse of the development of football and chasing of the potential partners.

However, Monyake welcomed Ntefo and Rovers partnership as something worth mentioning as it would help the team achieve its objective.

Meanwhile, one of the long term serving players, Calvin Masire also appreciated the gratitude shown by the sponsor as it encouraged them to put more effort.

He said their intention was to rub shoulders with the big giants in premier league like Township Rollers and Mochudi Centre Chiefs. Ends
