A musician and businessman, Mr Taolo Moshaga has advised youth to read The DailyNews because it contains many advertisements and information about government programmes. 

Mr Moshaga said this during a kgotla meeting addressed by Southern District Council chairperson, Mr Leach Tlhomelang at Mahikana ward in Kanye on July 31. He said government continued to encourage the youth to register companies so that they could also tender for government projects and services to uplift their lives.

Mr Moshaga also encouraged women to seek government assistance programmes because most families were headed by women, adding that women and youth empowerment was given first priority in Botswana. 

Members of the community were encouraged to work jointly with dikgosi and VDCs to assist the youth in utilising available government schemes

He raised a concern about poor school results in Kanye, appealing to parents to always visit students at their schools and assist them in home works. He added that English medium school students are doing well because their parents participate fully in students work. ENDS
