Lekhus prints spreads wings

While unemployment seems to be a burden for many in Botswana, there are some who see it as a welcome challenge.
To tackle the challenge, a group of people have taken it upon themselves to explore means and ways of getting themselves out of the quagmire.
The Lekhutlile siblings of Moremi and Lebogang belong to that group and instead of taking the queue from other young people around the country, who often migrate to towns and cities for greener pastures or worse, just stay at home and hope for a miracle, the two Tsabong natives took the bull by the horns.
Instead of waiting for manna from Heaven, the duo made a plan to ensure they never find themselves in the unenviable position of poverty, they decided to start their own business. In an interview recently, the duo of Moremi (27) and Lebogang (30), who are the managing directors of their company, Lekhus Prints, said they started their business in 2014, printing t-shirts for the popular sporting event, Khawa Dune Challenge, thus making their mark in the industry.
They said they found the niche in the market and the business is now doing well 14 years later.
The duo said the company was well known in Tsabong and was even making its mark in surrounding areas. Moremi said upon starting their business, they were mainly known for and much focused on t-shirt printing and designing of sign boards.
They divulged that their business had grown in leaps and bounds as they have increased their production and diversified by adding such services as making of number plates and logo design.
To show that their business has grown, the duo revealed that they have now added two employees to their pay roll as the workload was becoming too much for just the two of them.ENDS
