Maximum agricultural holdings 16ha
31 Jul 2013
The Minister of Transport and Communications, Mr Nonofo Molefhi has told Parliament that the maximum size of agricultural holdings that could be allocated is up to 16 ha.
However, he said if one already owned an agricultural holding which was in excess of 16 ha, he/ she could be allowed to practice integrated farming in the plot. He said the maximum size allocated was not uniform in all land boards because land boards faced different land shortage challenges which were addressed through their land policies.
MP for Boteti North, Mr Slumber Tsogwane had asked the Minister of Lands and Housing to state the maximum in hectares for integrated land use and whether it if uniform in all land boards. Ends
