Kgosi Kgari III commends organisation helping hand to former students out patients

Kgosi Kgari III of Bakwena has applauded the India Botswana Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IBCCI) for showing the spirit of compassion.
Kgosi Kgari III commended IBCCI during the handover of 10 wheelchairs to former students or out patients of Sekolo sa Anne-Stine and the community in Molepolole recently.
He further said he hoped the gifts would change the lives of the recipients, adding that the institution still needed more help.
He wished IBCCI all the best in everything they did, urging them to keep up the good work.
For his part, the Secretary of India Botswana Chambers of Commerce and Industry Mr Ashok Manambrakaatt said as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility, they have initiatives to help the needy in different sectors every year.
He said this year, they have taken up the cause of disabled children, hence their donation to Annie-Stine.
Mr Manambrakaatt revealed that they have also worked with the office of people with disabilities in the Office of the President, adding that their biggest effort was conducting 1600 cataract surgeries for free with a team of surgeons from India.
When receiving the gifts, the school board member, Ms Masego Leepile thanked the India Botswana Chamber of Commerce and Industry for responding to the needs of their school.
Meanwhile, school ambassador, Mr Botlhe Dzingai, said he intended to raise funds for the school through a sponsored walk before the end of this year. ENDS
