Live physically spiritually nourished life

Botswana Defence Force (BDF) chaplain, Captain Moletasaka Moletasaka has said to be successful in the workplace, people should live a life that is both physically and spiritually nourished.
He said at the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning's northern mini-wellness in Francistown on Friday that people were born to be successful and the reason why most failed was due to failure to recognise who their creator was. He said in order for one to be successful at work, they should develop love and passion.
He stated that if one found him/herself in a profession they never dreamed to pursue, love would be the only driving force that will unlock desire, bring about dedication and fruition.
He explained that in most cases, people had worked for a long time in their areas of specifications and this often led to under performance. He encouraged those who found themselves faced with the challenge to be motivated as through exercise, their minds would be refreshed and their bodies will be physically fit.
He noted that for success to be there, one should become trainable and learn to perform even when the environment is not conducive. He stated that at times, people come to work places unhappy due to their personal disappointments and at the end of the day, they under-perform.
Captain Moletasaka further encouraged the participants to learn to do one thing at a time which he said will bring about focus and finish the work started. “Fitness both mentally and physically will help us to finish what we have started. Files are all over the offices because people fail to finish what they have started,” he said.
For her part, health and safety coordinator in the ministry, Ms Dineo Champane said wellness is a way of living that encourages good physical and mental health. She noted that wellness is a strategy that aims at obtaining a healthy workforce, which can be achieved through the provision of comprehensive wellness services to staff.
Ms Champane said wellness is a necessary strategy through which the ministry demonstrates its support and commitment to the health and welfare of its employees.
She explained that the objective of the event was to reduce sick leaves and absenteeism, increase productivity, improve staff moral, improve health and safety at workplace and promote team building. ENDS
