Member of Parliament for Bobonong, Shaw Kgathi has sponsored Lepokole football tournament with football kit, three balls, trophy and P1 000.

In an interview, Mompoloki Lemponye of Lepokole said the P1 000 was shared among the four participating teams in the one-day tournament, which was held on July 16.

He said the tournament winners received a football kit, trophy, gold medals and P325, runners up got P275 and silver medals, while the team in third position received P225 and bronze medals.

At fourth place, the team pocketed P175.

Kgosi Lemponye added that the top goal scorer received soccer boots.

He commendeD Kgathi, who is also Minister of Defence, Justice and Security, for his efforts in supporting the village, adding football would continue to grow in Lepokole.

Lemponye urged caretaker of the winners to ensure that the kit remained in good condition. ENDS
