The  construction of Ghanzi mini stadium will effect in the 2018/19 and 2019/20 financial years, says Assistant Minister of Youth Empowerment, Sport and Culture Development, Mr Dikgang Makgalemele.

The assistant minister told Parliament that government would contribute over P2 million from the constituency community projects for phase one of the project while OlympaAfrica had pledged P1.5 million).

He said 50 per cent of the funds from OlympiaAfrica had already been released to the Botswana National Olympic Committee. 

He said Phase One of the project, which is the building of the boundary wall will be completed in August while the rest of the project will be done during 2019/2020.

Ghanzi North MP, Mr Noah Salakae had asked the minister to update Parliament on the progress of the construction of the Ghanzi mini stadium. ENDS
