Khwee hostels to be complete end of July

Boteti Sub-district is expected to complete the maintenance of Khwee hostels by the end of July 2018.
Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr Kgotla Autlwetse told Parliament on June 26 that with regards to school furniture, a contract has been signed and the orders were being processes for procurement of all 25 schools in the sub-district including Khwee Primary School.
Mr Autlwetse further said the procured furniture included teachers chairs and tables, stating that procurement of text books was no longer with his ministry, but it was the responsibility of basic education ministry.
Concerning the designs of the windows, he said currently the windows are still pop-riveted, but he said the new window handles and other components would be replaced and have been included in the scope of work for maintenance of Khwee Primary School, which was expected to be completed by September.
Boteti East Member of Parliament, Mr Sethomo Lelatisitswe had wanted the minister to apprise the house on the status of Khwee Primary School; in particular the maintenance of hostels, staff accommodation, furniture, text books. He also wanted to know if windows for classrooms were still pop-riveted and could not open. ENDS
