Minister of Defence, Justice and Security Mr Shaw Kgathi has told Parliament that Botswana Defence Force (BDF) would continue using the old Lobatse Teacher Training College (TTC) for military services.

Minister Kgathi was responding to a questioned from Lobatse MP Advocate Sadique Kebonang, who had wanted to know  what the ministry intended to do with the TTC in Lobatse buildings, which were given to BDF.

Mr Kgathi said the buildings would serve as a school to conduct military courses such as; Junior Command and Staff Course, Signal Courses, Logistic Courses and Military Intelligence Courses.

However, he said BDF would review its military training courses from time to time and might modify the buildings to suit training requirements.

He further pointed out that the maintenance budget of P5 million had been allocated for the financial year 2018/19. ENDS
