Permanent Secretary to the President, Mr Eric Molale says he is optimistic that the ongoing 10th Forum of the Commonwealth Heads of African Public Service would come up with recommendations that will benefit Commonwealth member states.

Speaking at a dinner hosted by the Minister for Presidential Affairs and Public Administration, Mr Mokgweetsi Masisi on Tuesday, Mr Molale said the deliberations proved to be impressive to transform the public sector of various Commonwealth member states.

Mr Molale said the forum had proved that there was an existing interface between administrators and political leadership and he himself, as the head of the civil service, had learnt a lot in this regard. For his part, the Dean of Ugandan Public Service, Mr John Mitala thanked Botswana to have seen it fit to host the forum.

The dinner was graced by the Commonwealth deputy secretary general, Ms Masekgoa Masire-Mwamba, Deputy Permanent Secretary to the President and director of the Department of Public Service Management, Mr Carter Morupisi, senior government officials and captains of parastals. ENDS
