Croatia sucks life out of Nigeria

		Despite Nigeria winning three consecutive early corners in the second half, they could not do much to challenge Croatia.

		Poor defending by the African side awarded Croatia a penalty kick, which Modric easily converts to extend their lead.

		The earlier deflection by Oghenekaro Etebo off Mario Mandzukic’s header seemed to have deflated Nigeria.

		As it stands, Croatia take pole position in Group D and will face Argentina on Friday. ENDS
