Heartache as Schmeichel denies Peru

Despite Peru's positively response, creating chance after chance that threatened Dennish side Kasper Schmeichel continually denied them a point.
Peru who are competing at their first World Cup since 1982, seem to have a solid defence and completetly dominated Denmark in the opening stages of the first half.
However, Denmark edged themselves into control a few times, yet not competently enough to unlock Peru's defence despite 62 per cent ball possession.
Peru missed a chance on the stroke of half time, as Christian Cueva hesitated, sending a penalty shot over the post as Schmeichel went the wrong way.
Yussuf Poulsen woould cause the Peruvuians heartbreak as he slots the ball past Pedro Gallese from a tight angle after being teed up by Christian Eriksen in a textbook counter attack from Denmark who found themselves on a three-on-three break. ENDS
