Group B first match ends with a win for Iran despite what could be described as brilliant display by the African side.
Aziz Bouhaddouz put one past his own goalkeeper in additional time while attempting to defend a free kick.
Morocco started the second half with a fast pace, showing themselves to be the best side against Iran, who looked sturdy at the back, and had clearly settled for a draw.
Throughout the game, the African side had total control, creating good goal chances that went unconverted. ENDS
