Ministry to terminate contract

A tender for the cyclic maintenance tender of Tutume Brigade was awarded in April 2014 by the Ministry of Education and Skills Development.
However, the contractor was reported to have abandoned the project on April 4, 2015, hence the prevailing state of the affairs. Minister for Employment, Labour Productivity and Skills Development, Mr Tshenolo Mabeo, therefore, said the Ministry of Basic Education had decided to terminate the contract and were working on the modalities and processes to conclude the issue.
He said once concluded, the project would be transferred to his ministry and maintenance would commence immediately. The MP for Nkange, Mr Edwin Batshu had asked the minister to state plans in place for the maintenance of Tutume Brigade which was dilapidated.ENDS
