Ministry implements 92 projects since 2008

Out of the 92 projects which the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MoTC) implemented since 2008, at least 44 suffered delays and cost overruns. Minister Kitso Mokaila said most of the projects were development projects. He however noted that his ministry has commenced engaging all stakeholders involved in project implementation to address issues of delayed projects and cost overruns. In addition, he said his ministry continued to train officers on contract administration and project management. The MP for Ramotswa, Mr Samuel Rantuana had asked the minister to state the number of projects in his ministry that suffered delays and cost overruns since 2008 and what he was doing to remedy the problem.ENDS
