Having operated for just under three years, Tiger Forex, a foreign exchange trading company, will officially launch in Gaborone on June 13.

The foreign exchange trading company which is 100 per cent citizen-owned, has however been operating on a personal basis offering forex mentorship, strategy development and financial market analysis.

Mr Tsieng Tsieng, one of the company co-founders said in an interview that their passion for forex trading began when they used to mentor their families and friends on forex trading of the market.

“The launch of the company will be an official way of introducing our services to the public to take advantage of,” Mr Tsieng said highlighting that Tiger Forex will have their alumni from their academy to give testimonies on their experiences in trading.

On the other hand, Ms Bumbi Tsieng, also the company co-founder, added that on the night of the launch they will also give potential investors insights on opening up accounts and how to buy and sell any currency.

The launch which, will be open to the public, will host key speakers in Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Ms Bogolo Kenewendo, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sport and Culture Development and Office of the President.

Forex trading, which is a multi-trillion market worth $4 trillion per day, is reportedly the most financial market, surpassing the stock market, where currencies are traded.

Despite its lucrative business opportunity, forex trading has also been notorious for scammers with cheated investors vending out on social media.  Mrs Tsieng however indicated that their business offered lucrative services to their clients based on prediction and advised investors to expect risk of loss as much as profits from their funds.

Nevertheless, the company co-founders said that their business offered mentorship services only but had not been regulated by Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority (NBFIRA) to manage investors’ accounts.
