Kedikilwe to open public service forum

The Vice President Dr Ponatshego Kedikilwe will officially open this year’s 10th Forum of Commonwealth Heads of African Public Service forum today (July 22).
A press release from Office of the President says the forum, which is held in collaboration with the Commonwealth Secretariat, will be celebrated under the theme: “Improving the Political-Administrative Interface to Achieve Sustainable Development.” it will runf rom July 23 - 26.
The form will discuss the legal and other frameworks at national level that prescribe the interaction between politics and administration with a view to identify whether they facilitate or hinder collaborative and complementary interaction between politics and administration.
The forum will share experiences on the current nature of interaction between politics and public administration, identify challenges, and agree on strategies and mechanisms that will facilitate achievement of sustainable development goals in their respective countries.
Heads of Public Services from Botswana, Cameroon, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Sierra Leone, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Seychelles, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Lesotho are expected to attend the forum. Ends
