Business needs passion and power, but strategies have to be in place for it to be competitive.
Thirty-year-old Mr Mothusi Kwenaeile is the owner of Mmualebe Informer, a company funded to the tune of P80 000 in 2015.
Mr Kwenaeile pointed out that he was the first person in Kweneng region to be funded in advertising, publishing and graphic design. He said he had programmed his mind that he was going into business.
“Business is not an easy thing and one must remain positive and work hard in order to realise his dream,” he said.
He noted that every company needs advertising and branding, adding that during the wedding season, demand rises as “we provide branded water, invitation cards, invitation videos, calendars and video and photography.”
Mr Kwenaeile said his business turned two years this year, and that he believed the race had not yet started. “Two years in business is not a joke, and you have to sacrifice a lot on a personal level and business level,” he said.
Mmualebe Informer has served companies such as GUC, MVA Fund, Lucra Holdings as well as individuals in both Kweneng and outside the region. It has also served in Mowana, Mmadinare and Bobonong.
He stated that although the business was running smoothly, he still faced challenges of defaulting clients. He pointed out that Mmualebe Informer was also publishing a monthly magazine named Mmualebe Informer which focused on business.
“Mmualebe Informer has created employment to six youth who work on a full-time basis, and the business is able to put food on the table and my family can survive well,” said Mr Kwenaeile.
Nonetheless, he complained about expensive printing costs and office rent as well as printing tonners and ink. He said the printing cost for the magazine was P15 000 a month and that office rental was P2 200 a month.
He said the challenges would not deter him but would motivate him to think outside the box.
Mr Kwenaeile advised the youth to venture into business, work hard, exercise patience and honesty to ensure that the business becomes successful.
He also advised them to take care of their employees and leave everything in God’s hands. Ends
