Students benefit from subsidised bank charges
09 Apr 2018
Parliament has learnt that government sponsored tertiary students benefit from subsidised bank charges in the contract of disbursing allowances by First National Bank Botswana (FNBB).
Assistant Minister of Tertiary Education, Research, Science and Technology, Mr Fidelis Molao said Parliament had erroneously aired on March 19 that students were incurring charges for account maintenance and allowances disbursement.
Specially elected MP, Ms Bogolo Kenewendo had sought to know “the benefits transferred to students” in the contract of disbursing allowances to government sponsored students by FNBB. Ends
