Masisi attends Moshupa UCCSA church service

Vice President Mr Mokgweeetsi Masisi has commended the church for the good job of providing guidance and leading people in the right direction.
Mr Masisi, who is also the MP for Moshupa/Manyana, together with his wife, Neo and daughter, Atsile attended a church service at Moshupa United Congregational Church of Southern Africa (UCCSA on March 25.
Mr Masisi thanked the church for supporting him and finding it fit to put God first before he assumes the presidency on Sunday and promised to seek divine intervention in delegating his duties.
Moreover, the Vice President promised to do his work diligently and fairly and abide by the constitution of Botswana. He also assured congregants that he would take advises from church members, communities and former President.
For his inauguration, Mr Masisi said he had invited and availed 200 seats for his electorate and councillors and urged those who wished to attend to laise with the parliamentary office in Moshupa.
Mr Masisi advised fellow church members to read Proverbs 3:1-9, which reads thus ‘My son, forget not my law, but let thine heart keep my commandments... for length of days and long life, and peace, shall they add thee’.
Moshupa UCCSA branch priest, Reverend Derick Silwenga said the Vice President was a humble man who demonstrated that he was a servant of the people by assisting the needy, children and the elderly.
He stated that Mr Masisi was a lovely and humble man who loved the church and all members of the community equally, saying they were proud of him.
He said as the Moshupa congregation they would continue praying even after Mr Masisi’s assumption of the highest office.
Church elder and former councillor, Mr Motshodi Ketshabile said that Mr Masisi needed prayers throughout because he would be assuming a big and demanding post.
Mr Ketshabile said it was by God’s grace that he was given such an office to lead the nation. Ends
