Letsholathebe II Memorial Hospital Superintendent, Dr Maxwell Mungisi has thanked Cresta Hotels Group for carrying out and accomplishing their corporate social responsibility in the community.

Dr Mungisi was speaking during a donation of bed linen to the hospital by Cresta Hotels Group on March 21.

Dr Mungisi said the group’s gesture was a commendable one since the donation covered about 20 per cent of the 270 hospital beds.

He further said the contribution would also assist in increasing the hospital linen, saying that it came at an opportune time when the hospital needed it most.

“We are really happy to have accepted the linen and we hope that other business entities will emulate such kind of gesture and come on board to help the government,” he said.

Further, he said the health of the community should not depend on the government offers, but should also come from the corporate world.

Cresta Marakanelo head of sales and marketing, Mr Patrick Chivese said that they found it fit to donate to Letsholathebe II Memorial Hospital taking into consideration that it takes care of all the referrals in the North West region.

Mr Chivese said the group has so far spent almost P15 million of their corporate social responsibility by building about nine houses to the less privileged countrywide, donating close to P5 million to Masiela Trust Funf and others.

He further said as a group they intend to go around identifying institutions that are in need. 

The group donated 50 sheets, 50 fitted covers, 50 pillow cases and 50 pillows. ENDS
