10 958 plots in Kasane Kazungula

Parliament has learnt that 3 642 plots in Kazungula and 7 316 plots in Kasane have been serviced. Responding to a question by Member of Parliament for Chobe, Mr Ronald Shamukuni, Assistant Minister of Land Management, Water and Sanitation Services, Mr Itumeleng Moipisi said only 57 plots in Kasane were not allocated.
He further said the 57 plots were in process of being allocated, which included verifying plot ownership status of applicants.Mr Moipisi further explained that formal offers of the plots would be done by June 2018. MP Shamukuni had wanted to know the number of serviced plots (residential, commercial and industrial) in the Kasane-Kazungula area and the number that had not been allocated to date and the reasons for non-allocation and when allocation would be done.
