Khama transformational leader

Bangwaketse Kgosikgolo, Kgosi Malope II has showered President Lt Gen. Dr Seretse Khama Ian Khama with praises for having displayed transformational leadership that brought in numerous developments in the area during his tenure of presidency.
During a Kgotla meeting to bid President Khama farewell in Kanye on Tuesday, Kgosi Malope II cited the merging of Goora Seno with Kanye and Maisane with Molapowabojang as a living testimony of transformational leadership that saw Goora Seno and Maisane getting quality services.
He said such an incorporation ensured that homes of Goora seno weresaved from demolition by the land board.
He therefore thanked Khama for remembering his people.
He expressed gratification for a sports complex that is to be built in Kanye at Mhiko ward, saying a plan for such a development was laid down during Khama’s term of office.
He said very soon the President would be a master farmer and wished him a happy retirement and a healthy life throughout the days of his life.
Bishop Koolopile Pema of Kanye Ministers Fraternal applauded President Khama on behalf of all living churches and pastors for protecting Batswana from unscrupulous pastors.
He said pastors were always remembered during his tenure of presidency, pointing out that churches and pastors took part in national events.
Bishop Pema said President Khama humbled himself before God and his submissiveness saw him requesting for prayers from pastors for wisdom to lead the nation.
For her part, a representative of public employees from Kanye North and South constituencies, Ms Kgomotso Diseko said public employees were not retrenched as a result of economic depression as it was the case in other countries, thus elaborating the President’s sound leadership.
She thanked President Khama on for introducing salary advance scheme, housing allowance, scarce skill allowance and inflation adjustment that helped to cushion Batswana against hardships of economic recession.
She hoped employees learnt time management during President Khama’s term of office that has always been the challenge in the public service across the spectrum.
She said a two-day leave augmentation that was introduced by President Khama gave employees more days to spend with their families as one day could be used to travel to people’s destination and the other back to work.
She thanked President Khama for introducing 10-point agenda that led to improved internal processes, thus improving service delivery.
Ms Diseko appreciated youth programmes that improved the livelihood of the youths in numerous ways.
She also expressed gratification for subsidies that were offered to youths when buying tenders, noting that such a move deserved an applause. ENDS
