DPSM reviews salary structures

Health and Wellness assistant minister, Mr Dikgang Makgalemele says his ministry appreciates the need to review salaries and conditions of service for doctors in order to retain them. Mr Makgalemele said in response to a parliamentary question that there was an ongoing exercise by DPSM that was reviewing the salary structures in the civil service.
“It is hoped that technical ministries like my Ministry shall be accorded special dispensation to build in incentives that will attract and retain doctors and indeed other specialist staff,” Mr Makgalemele said. Member of Parliament for Francistown South, Mr Wynter Mmolotsi had asked the minister if he would consider reviewing the salaries and conditions of service for doctors in order to retain them. ENDS
