Moologa to launch Ko gae

19 Mar 2018

Tshepang Kwapa popularly known as Moologa in the music industry will officially launch his hit song Ko gae featuring Morwa Tsankana on April 28 in Mochudi.

The 24-year-old last week launched the single on Duma FM to introduce his music  to Batswana and to grow his brand before the official launch.

He said the song would be played in most radio stations around the country as a way of familiarising Batswana with the song before the official launch.

Moologa said the song was inspired by the challenges faced by the youth and the village at large of bad manners and killings that were taking a toll on villagers including himself and found it fit to find a song that could unite the community.

He said the song was meant to be a peace maker between Bakgatla and also to encourage the victims to have a forgiving heart so they lead a normal life.

The Morwa-born star said the single came after the good reception of his title track Botshelo that was released last October and has been used by Barclays on its commercial adverts on Botswana Television.

He said the title track talks about life and its challenges and how one can easily succumb to peer pressure because of societal pressures.

Moologa said he was happy with the progress of the album so far as his schedule for corporate gigs was already beaming.

The youngster appreciated Rraagwe Tinana and Georgina Kobotwe for mentoring him through his journey as an artiste and also for dedicating their time to him when he needed them.

He said he worked with Prez Beats on the production side, Bango on the mixing and mastering of the songs, Dj Oats and still on talks with other artistes.

Moologa said the launch of the single would be followed by the launch of his eight-track album at the end of the winter season.

He said his music career began in 2012 when he won the most popular talent show on Botswana Television back in the days titled My African Dream.

He urged the youth not to wait on their dream, but rather search for any opportunities available for them to explore their talents and stay focused in what they needed.

Moologa encouraged the youth to refrain from using social media for all the wrong reasons, but rather use it to market their brands and establish their careers just like he did.

He said nothing worth having comes easy in life and that is exactly what most youth need to know so that they can put in much effort into what they want in life. ENDS
