Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Ms Botlogile Tshireletso has told Parliament that Motokwe tribal administration office was not connected to the national power grid but used a generator although electricity was available in the village.
Ms Tshireletso said her ministry was working with the Department of Building and Engineering Services (DBES) to connect the offices during the current financial year.
She was responding to a question from Letlhakeng West MP, Mr Ngaka Ngaka who had asked if the minister was aware that Motokwe tribal office had not been electrified even though there was electricity in the village. He had also asked if there were any plans to address the issue. ENDS
