Assistant Minister of Health and Wellness, Mr Dikgang Makgalemela says Tewane Health Post is not connected to the national electricity grid.

He explained to Parliament on March 14, that Botswana Power Corporation had been engaged to effect the connection following the payment of the appropriate fees by the ministry and the delay was due to the time taken to reticulate the facility.

Responding to a question from Mahalapye West MP, Mr Joseph Molefe, the assistant minister said the ‘facility is scheduled to be connected in the first quarter of the coming fiscal year 2018\2019.’

Mahalapye West legislator had asked the minister if he was aware that Tewane Health Post was not connected to electricity grid despite power supply in the village completed under the Economic Stimulus Programme in 2016.

He also wanted to know when the facility would be connected. ENDS
