Use skills to better lives

Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr Frans Van Der Westhuizen has advised 30 trainees supported by Dulux Company on painting skills to use the ability to better their lives and use it to develop their surroundings.
Speaking recently at a ceremony to handover certificates to young people trained by Dulux Company, Mr Westhuizen applauded Dulux Company for imparting such skills on the youth.
He said the company, through the gesture was assisting government on youth empowerment as well as displaying their effort to give back to the community.
He also applauded Dulux to have assisted in maintaining primary schools in Mmathethe, Gathwane, Digawana and Mogojogojo.
He also urged relevant authorities to take note of the trainees and support them in order to grow their talent.
Dulux sales and marketing manager, Mr Moses Moyaluka said they used about P240 000 to give back to the community.
He said they painted about 14 blocks in different schools and alsogave Good Hope sub-district council the remaining paint to utilise.
One of the trainees, Mr Botho Lemmenyane said he felt honoured to have attained painting skills.
Gathwane councillor, Mr Beach Mooketsane advised the trainees to be exemplary to the community.
He said they should form a company and work as one to develop their skills. Ends
