11 Mar 2018

Managing director at Botswana Bureau of Standards (BOBS), Ms Masego Marobela has urged ICT Dynamix to consistently meet the BOS ISO standard as an attestation of commitment to quality.

Speaking at the BOS ISO 9001:2015 quality management system certification ceremony on March 8, Ms Marobela urged ICT Dynamix to remember the basis that underpinned the certification upon carrying daily business in information and communication technology.

She advised ICT Dynamix to ensure continued satisfaction with the requirements that form the basis of the certification, stating that it would maintain the certification status.

“I would also like to remind you that BOBS will monitor your conformance through surveillance audits at pre-determined intervals,” she added.Ms Marobela urged consumers and procuring entities to demand quality assured products and services in procurement processes, adding that it would be consistent with government desires and efforts driven through initiatives such as the Economic Diversification Drive (EDD) which recognised and prescribed procurement of quality assured commodities.

She said it was inspiring to see a company aiming to build and provide information technology consultancy services and solutions at affordable rates and at optimal speed. She added that they have chosen not only to implement Quality Management System (QMS), but also applied for and attained certification to the QMS standard.

ICT Dynamix, she said, was one of the first few organisations to be directly certified to the 2015 version of the BOS ISO 9001 standard unlike those who had been certified to the 2008 version and now had to transit to the 2015 version.

Through attaining certification, Ms Marobela said the management and staff of ICT Dynamix had proven the company’s dedication and commitment in providing quality products and services.

Receiving the certification, chief executive officer at ICT Dynamix, Mr Bernard Ndove pointed out that despite challenges, the 100 per cent citizen owned, self-funded information technology consultancy project had finally attained its dream.

Mr Ndove said the organisation arranged some pillars to persevere into the future, stating that people, technology and processes anchored the company’s success. He added that they were a Microsoft certified partner, and that they believed in people not only within the organization, but also the clientele who took the company forward.

He said training people to use and sell technology bridged the gap between people and technology, adding that processes were the cornerstone to everything in business.

Founded in 2001, Mr Ndove said ICT Dynamix operated with 86 citizens including youth who provided solution based services to government, parastatals, private and public sector. Ends
