IEC issued 3 202 duplicate cards

A total of 3 202 duplicate cards were issued in Letlhakeng West constituency where 9 674 voters had registered, the Assistant Minister for Presidential Affairs and Public Administration has told Parliament.
Dr Gloria Somolekae further said 617 duplicate cards were issued in Tumasera-Seleka where 2 230 voters had registered. Dr Somolekae was responding to a question by Gaborone Central MP, Mr Dumelang Saleshando who had wanted the minister to state the number of duplicate registration cards that were issued by the Independent Electoral Commission in Letlhakeng West constituency as well as the Tumasera-Seleka ward during the recent bye elections.
