Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital radiologist reports for duty
01 Mar 2018
Assistant minister of Health and Wellness, Mr Dikgang Makgalemele said he is aware that Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital has been without a radiologist since the departure of its only one in June 2017.
He said the main challenge was their scarcity in the market and the ability to retain them.
He said after the departure of the radiologist, some services continued particularly those of interpretation of images, while others were referred to Princess Marina Hospital, therefore the services were not interrupted.
Answering a question in Parliament, Mr Makgalemele noted that a Cubian radiologist who was recruited in July 2017 resumed duty at Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital on February 19, 2018.
Member of Parliament for Francistown East, Mr Buti Billy had asked the Minister of Health and Wellness if he was aware that Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital did not have a radiologist, if so when one would be availed.ENDS
