No formal collaboration between ministryLegal Aid

Minister of Defence, Justice and Security, Mr Shaw Kgathi has said referral of indigent citizens takes place on a case by case basis between Legal Aid Botswana and Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development.
He explained that currently there was no formal collaboration between the two. However, a more formalised collaboration would be explored. Minister Kgathi was responding to a question in parliament asked by MP for Francistown East, Mr Buti Billy who had asked the minister about the collaboration between Legal Aid and his ministry to leverage on gains and expertise of reaching out to the poor and to complement each other.ENDS
