Ministry of Transport and Communications is currently procuring for the construction of a big culvert at Lepashe.

Minister of Transport and Communications, Mr Kitso Mokaila said there was, therefore, no need to construct a bridge at Lepashe given that the culvert size would be adequate to cope with the river flow.

The project, he said, could not be carried out using the constituency fund as it had been budgeted for in the 2018/2019 financial year.

He also told parliament that his ministry had no plans in the current NDP 11 to construct the bridge at Sepako.

Nata/Gweta Member of Parliament, Mr Polson Majaga had wanted the minister to explicate as to when he would consider constructing a bridge at Lepashe since the villagers suffered every rainy season, and whether the project could be carried out using the constituency fund, and when construction of the bridge at Sepako would commence.
