The Ministry of Land Management, Water and Sanitation Services anticipates to have awarded tender for Sowa Block 3 residential land servicing by the end of next month. 

Assistant minister Mr Itumeleng Moipisi informed Parliament on February 26 that the ministry had initially expected to award the tender by end of January but encountered procurement process delays. 

Concerning the servicing of industrial plots in the township, Mr Moipisi explained that the ministry was at the final development plan approval stage which they expect to have completed by end of March.  “It is only when the development plan has been approved that the implementation schedule would be initiated and budget for.

I therefore cannot say with any degree of certainty as to when the industrial plots in Sowa will be serviced,” he said.

The assistant minister was responding to a question from Nata-Gweta MP Mr Polson Majaga who had wanted to know when the servicing of industrial and residential plots will start in Sowa.ENDS
