No plans to service plots in Ftown

Assistant Minister of Land Management, Water and Sanitation Services, Mr Itumeleng Moipisi says his ministry has no plans of servicing Francistown during the next financial year 2018/2019.
He however said his ministry has over the years prioritised servicing of the Francistown area more than other equally deserving areas.
This, he said was evidenced by the completion of land servicing of the Gerald-Estates Blocks 5 and 6 at a total cost of P491 million which yielded 4 667 plots of different uses. His ministry, he said, also completed bulk servicing of Gerald Estate Block 1 and CBD covering 3 200 plots at a cost of P35 million.
“Currently, my ministry is procuring tenders to interconnect the completed bulk serviced water reticulation line to Gerald Estate Block 5, which is at evaluation stage and tenders for audit and construction supervision of Aerodrome link road is also at adjudication stage,” he said.
Mr Moipisi said he could not as of now talk about the 2019/2020 financial year budget, adding that land servicing projects to be planned and implemented at that point in time would depend on competing national priorities as shall be set in the near future.
Francistown South MP, Mr Wynter Mmolotsi had asked the minister to state the number of plots intended to be serviced in Francistown in the next two financial years. Ends
