Molale explains VP use of transport
21 Feb 2018
Vice President Mr Mokgweetsi Masisi, who is also chairperson of the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP), is at all times entitled to use official transport for both private and official purposes.
Minister for Presidential Affairs, Governance and Public Administration, Mr Eric Molale said this when answering a question in Parliament on February 20.
Mr Molale stated that “it is for the above reasons that we do not separate costs incurred by his honour, as official, private or political activities.”
Member of Parliament for Francistown South, Mr Wynter Mmolotsi had asked the minister how much the government had spent on aircraft fuel transporting the chairperson of the Botswana Democratic Party while performing party functions in the last three months. ENDS
