Students taken for further training

About 24 teachers in the Gabane/Mmankgodi constituency have been taken for further training during the past five years.
This was said by the Assistant Minister of Basic Education, Mr Moiseraele Goya in response to a question from MP for Gabane/Mmankgodi, Major General Pius Mokgware on Monday.
Mr Goya explained that the names of their schools are Ikageng and Nare Sereto junior secondary schools as well as Pule, Mmonye, Letlole, Gasiko, Metsimotlhabe and Serameng primary schools.
The courses they enrolled in varied, he said, as some undertook Diplomas and Bachelor Degrees in Primary Education, Special Education and Pre-primary Care and Education.
The assistant minister said at secondary level, some took Bachelor Degrees in Special Education, Design and Technology, Music, Home Economics and Counselling. Two undertook degrees in Education Management at Bachelor’s Degree level and one at Masters level, he added.
MP Maj. Gen. Mokgware had asked the minister to state the number of teachers in his constituency who had been taken for further training in all schools in the last five years and the names of the schools from which the teachers came as well as the courses the teachers were enrolled in. Ends
