WUC plans to expand networks

Matlapana ward, Shorobe, Sankoyo and Chanoga experience low water supply, says the Assistant Minister of Land Management, Water and Sanitation Services, Mr Itumeleng Moipisi.
Mr Moipisi said to address the need, Water Utilities Corporation has planned to cover the affected areas under the Maun water supply and sanitation phase two project.The project, he explained, included network expansions, drilling of boreholes and building of water treatment plant.
The project is scheduled for implementation during the 2018/2019 financial year, he added.The assistant minister was answering a question in Parliament from the Member of Parliament for Maun East, Mr Kostantinos Markus who wanted to know what was being done to improve the water situation in Maun.
