Ministry of Transport and Communications is currently resealing the road section from Maun to Makalamabedi veterinary gate.

Transport and communications minister, Mr Kitso Mokaila said tenders for the rehabilitation of the road section from Makalamabedi veterinary gate to Phuduhudu were at the evaluation stage and expected to commence at the beginning of April 2018.

Mr Mokaila further said the tender documents for the resealing of the road section from Phuduhudu to Nata, including the rehabilitation of the Nata-Zoroga flood damaged road section, were being vetted and that the tenders were planned to be floated in March 2018.

He said as a long term solution, invitation to tender for procurement of a consultant to carry out the design of the Nata to Maun road was being vetted and tenders for design were planned to be floated in May 2018.

The Member of Parliament for Maun East, Mr Kostantinos Markus had asked the minister if he was aware of the bad state of the Nata-Maun road. Ends
