The Ministry of Presidential Affairs, Governance and Public Administration had a staff complement of 13 649 employees between 2012/13 and 2016/17 financial years.

Assistant Minister for Presidential Affairs, Governance and Public Administration, Mr Thato Kwerepe further explained that the wage bill between those financial years was P1 887 800 562.50.

He further said the ministry’s staff complement at strategic management, middle management and operational positions for the same financial years was 773, and 4 025 and 12 483 respectively.

The MP of Ghanzi North, Mr Noah Salakae had asked the assistant minister to state the number of staff complement for the ministry in those financial years and the wage bill.

Responding to another question from the Ghanzi North MP, the assistant minister said the ministry had a staff turnover of 277 employees between the 2012/13 and 2016/17 financial years. 

Mr Kwerepe explained that the ministry had a staff turnover of 68 employees in 2012/13, 48 in 2013/14, 57 in 2014/15, 64 in 2015/16 and 40 in 2016/17 financial years.

He said the total cost of staff turnover at strategic management, middle management and operational positions for the above financial years was P318 403 256. 04

Mr Salakae had asked the assistant minister to state the ministry’s staff turnover for the above financial years and costs for those staff turnovers. ENDS
