Parliament has been told that there are eight foreign teachers at Flamingo Primary School in Sowa.

Minister of Employment, Labour Productivity and Skills Development, Mr Tshenolo Mabeo said there was one senior teacher with a Bachelor of Education (BEd), one teacher with a Diploma in Education, one teacher with a Bachelor of Science (BSc), one teacher with a Bachelor of Physical Education and one teacher with a Bachelor of Arts (BA).

He further said there were 13 Batswana teachers at the primary school, including the school head with a Bachelor of Education, four teachers with BA and Post Graduate Diploma in Education, one teacher with BSC, two teachers with BED, three teachers with Diploma in Education and one teacher with a Certificate in Early Childhood Education.

Gabane-Mmankgodi Member of Parliament, Maj. Gen. Pius Mokgware had requested the minister to state the number of foreign teachers at Flamingo Primary School as well as their qualifications and positions.

Maj. Gen. Mokgware also wanted to know the number of Batswana teachers employed at the same school and their qualifications and positions. ENDS
