Ministry of Basic Education has experienced total staff turnover of 310 for the financial year 2017/18.

Responding to a parliamentary question on behalf of basic education minister, Assistant Minister of Health and Wellness, Mr Dikgang Makgalemele said there were no replacement costs incurred for the period in question.

He stated that appointments were made from existing pre-qualified pools across all cadres, except strategic positions where officers were assessed at a cost of P30 772. 

“The turnover at strategic management is two, middle management 78, and operational positions 230 for the financial year 2017/18,” Mr Makgalemele said.

Ghanzi North Member of Parliament, Mr Noah Salakae had asked the minister to state the number of staff turnover at strategic management, middle management and operational positions. 

He also wanted to know the cost of staff turnover. ENDS
