Coach to sign quality players

05 Dec 2017

The newly appointed Miscellaneous Football Club head coach, Oris Radipotsane, has assured supporters to sign 12 quality players in January.

Radipotsane joined Serowe-based club after the departure of Chico Nare, who is now at the helm of Orapa United Football Club.

He said in an interview after his team played to one-all draw with Sankoyo Bush Bucks in Maun on Sunday, that he had already identified key players from other premier league teams.

“By January next year, I would have assembled a strong squad which would bring results to the team,” he added.

Meanwhile, Radipotsane accepted the results against Sankoyo noting that it was a fair result even though they came with high expectations to pocket three points.

Since he is new to the team, he said he was not familiar with most of the players, but he commended his boys for a job well done.

The game started at a low note despite the favourable weather.

Both teams were a bit relaxed especially in the first fifteen minutes of the first half as they did not show any intentions of scoring besides harsh attacks which resulted in some players being cautioned.

Sankoyo scored first through Gosaitse Manuel in the 27th minute.

In the second half, both teams fought hard, creating more chances, which they failed to convert into goals.

Miscellanous enjoyed ball possession as they were all over the pitch fighting to equalise and their efforts were rewarded in the 55th minutes through Orebotse Mongae who managed to penetrate their opponents defence.

Sankoyo assistant coach, Tiiso Gadimang praised his boys for their performance adding that the team had improved especially in the scoring technique, which was a challenge.

For the past three games they struggled to score but he noted that the three goals, which were ruled off-sides showed that his boys had improved a lot and hoped that they would do better in their next encounters.

Tiiso said they came to the game with the view to win but stated that a draw was not bad as most of his key players were not fit to play due to injuries. ENDS
